Job Description

Supply Chain Graduate Scheme 2021-2022
Get ready for a Supply Chain Graduate Scheme that will propel you into a career with the world’s largest food and beverage company. Right now, Nestlé is accepting applications from graduates from all backgrounds. Join us and you’ll quickly start building a world-class career in warehouse, logistics, planning or procurement management. We value individuality and different perspectives on life, so when you join us, you’ll be welcomed as your whole self and encouraged to be the best version of you. You’ll be given expert guidance from a diverse range of Supply Chain thought leaders, who’ll help to make every day unique – and with its own set of learnings. Whether you join us in one of our multiple sites across the UK – which include Head Offices in York and Gatwick, and a partnership facility with Cereal Partners UK (CPUK) in Welwyn Garden City – our two-year Supply Chain scheme will launch your career in the best possible way.

What the Supply Chain Graduate Scheme entails
Being accepted onto our Supply Chain Scheme is just that – being accepted. From the moment you join us, you’ll feel like part of the team, part of the business and part of the Nestlé journey. That’s because we pride ourselves on our inclusivity, our willingness to look deep into our Graduates’ emerging potential and our ability to help that potential flourish. The way we go about that is structured to the last detail, too. We build on the great foundations laid during your degree by training you in everything from sourcing to negotiating to buying the raw ingredients that go into our world-renowned products. You’ll even help to make sure that finished products are successfully transported from our warehouses to our customers via Logistics. What’s more, there could be the chance to take on a Demand Planning project, using data to figure out how much we’re going to sell. Over two years, you’ll complete three six-to-twelve-month placements to give you the broadest possible, most fulfilling overview of the Supply Chain function. Where you go from there is up to you.

Who is eligible for the Supply Chain Graduate Scheme?
At Nestlé, it’s not about where you’ve been or where you come from. It’s all about where you’re going. Yes, you will – of course – need a degree. However, that degree may be in any subject and we won’t judge you based on your grade. Rather, we’ll look for evidence of your passion for the function, the FMCG sector and our business. That’s how we know whether you have what it takes or not. We are a business with more than 150 years of history – that’s a secure company. Yet, it’s to the future that we’re looking and you, needless to say, are it. What you bring to the business will help to shape our Supply Chain strategy as you grow with us. At Nestlé, you’ll do work that matters, making a difference to the business and to the wider communities we operate within.

What will I get out of a Nestlé Graduate Scheme?
This is your chance to work with some of the biggest brands in the world. Kit Kat, S.Pellegrino, Cheerios, Smarties, Nescafé, Nesquik, Purina and Felix – that’s just to name a few. As a Supply Chain Graduate for Nestlé or Cereal Partners UK, you’ll have a direct input into how those and other products are developed, delivered and launched. Work to be proud of from the moment you join us. As you’ll be fresh out of university and hungry for your next challenge, the structured learning and acclimatisation of our Graduate Scheme will ensure that – even when thrown in at the deep end – you won’t struggle to keep your head above water. We will give you all the support you need to succeed here and to develop an exciting, fulfilling role, once the Scheme is over. What’s more, as part of a business focused on what we like to call CSV – Creating Shared Value (for our shareholders and society alike) – and being a “Force for Good”, you will have a real sense of bigger purpose, here. We are driving our activity in respecting differences, protecting the environment and promoting healthy living – we want you to come here and learn about that, be part of it and be proud of it. Our Graduate Scheme is your chance, as an employee of the world’s largest food manufacturer, to make a real difference on the important issues facing our world.
