Job Description
Right now Nestlé is offering apprenticeships in different areas of manufacturing. Here, you’ll have the choice and flexibility to forge your own path and find the role that’s perfect for you. Applications are opening soon—come start your career at the world’s biggest food and beverage manufacturer.
With a manufacturing operation as large as ours, we want different people with different ways of doing things to perform a huge variety of roles. That’s why we encourage people from all walks of life to apply with us. We’ll help you discover your best self and find a role where you truly fit in.
With Level 3 Apprenticeships on offer at Nestlé sites around the country, we’re making a great manufacturing career accessible for you. Join us, and after two-and-a-half years, you’ll have your career well underway and be looking ahead to a bright future.
What the Manufacturing Apprenticeship entails
You might want to focus on the process of manufacturing, you may be interested in the technical side of a manufacturing role or perhaps you’d prefer to work with the equipment and processes that we are developing in our Product Technology Centre. Big breakfast cereal fan? Then you might see yourself at Cereal Partners UK (CPUK), our breakfast cereal partner. Whichever path you choose, we’ll help you develop the skills you need for a successful career.
Rotating through different aspects of manufacturing, you’ll take on different roles—with our support and mentorship—so you can learn the specific skills you need to perform each one. You’ll make a real contribution to the team so you can feel what it’s like to really deliver with the work you do.
The emphasis here is always on learning by doing, but there’s also a chance to experience a bit of student life with our learning partners in Lincoln. Here you’ll meet other Nestlé and Cereal Partners manufacturing apprentices from all over the country and friendships and professional relationships that will be useful in your career development.
Additional Information
Who is eligible for the Manufacturing Apprenticeship?
We’re looking for people who are ready for a serious career in manufacturing. If you’ve come to the decision that a Level 3 Apprenticeship is right for you, you’ll need Maths and English Language GCSE, with actual or predicted grades at 9-4 (A*-C if gained before 2017) and plenty of enthusiasm to give yourself the best chance of success.
You might be a school leaver or perhaps you’ll have been in a role for a few years but feel it’s not letting you realise your full potential. Because it allows you to earn while you learn, our Apprenticeship is a great way into a fulfilling manufacturing career where you’ll be able to satisfy your need to achieve more.
What will I get out of a Nestlé Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a great way into a role with an exciting future. Right away, you’ll earn a competitive salary—but you’ll also build the skills you need to earn much bigger rewards as your career progresses.
You’ll also be exposed to some of the world’s most famous brands—household names like KitKat, Felix, Aero, Buxton, Cheerios and Nescafé. The work you’ll do here is the reason they are on the shelves for everyone to enjoy. As you gain experience with an increasing number of products, you’ll build some serious standing in manufacturing.
What’s more, you’ll contribute to our ‘Force for Good’ initiative, which is all about aligning our commercial objectives with important social responsibilities like protecting the environment and healthier eating. As a global company, we’ve got the power to really change things for the better in the wider world. Come play your part and feel great about starting a career where you can make a difference.
