Engineering Industrial Placement 2022/2023

Job Description

If you’re a university student looking ahead to a career in Engineering, our Engineering Industrial Placement can get you off to a better start. Join us and, over 12 months, our mentors and industry experts will help you develop the skills you need to cut it as an Engineer here at the largest food and beverage manufacturer in the world.

This is an opportunity to experience an engineering workplace where you’ll always feel able to bring your whole self. It’s something we encourage. Because different personalities working together is what makes us the creative business we are.

Placements are running at Nestlé sites up and down the country and at the Nestlé Product Technology Centre (NPTC). Wherever you join us, you’ll return to your final year of study with a real sense of purpose, a network of contacts at a world leading brand and significantly improved chances of landing the Engineering career you want after graduating.

What the Engineering Industrial Placement entails

Our placement is all about putting learning into practice. Rotating through various roles and taking on live projects under the guidance of specialists, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of everything that goes on within Engineering at Nestlé. As you do that, you’ll zero in on the kind of role you want as your career.

As much as the placement is about showing you the technology and processes used in Engineering in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, there’s also a big focus on helping you develop core professional skills like communication and collaboration. We’ll encourage you to develop your own ideas and help you develop the confidence you need to have a real impact on the way our business runs.

What’s more, you’ll also have established yourself at a company with a strong track record when it comes to supporting placement students and turning them into employees.

Nestlé is a company that takes its role in the world seriously and is always looking for ways to have a positive impact. That’s what our ‘Force for Good’ initiative is all about.
