Right now Nestlé is offering Apprenticeships in different areas of Manufacturing. Here, you’ll have the choice and flexibility to forge your own path and find the role that’s perfect for you. With a manufacturing operation as large as ours, we want different people with different ways of doing things to perform a huge variety of roles. That’s why we encourage people from all walks of life to apply with us. We’ll help you discover your best self and find a role where you truly fit in.

With Apprenticeships on offer at Nestlé sites around the country, we’re making a great manufacturing career accessible for you. Join us, and after two-and-a-half years, you’ll have your career well underway and be looking ahead to a bright future.

What the Manufacturing Apprenticeship entails

On a Nestlé Apprenticeship, you can pursue the manufacturing career you want. You might want to focus on the process of manufacturing. Or perhaps you’d prefer to get involved with the machines we use in that process at our Product Technology Centre (Manufacturing PTC). You might see yourself at Cereal Partners UK (CPUK), our breakfast cereal partnership. Whichever way you go, you’ll be getting an in-depth understanding of manufacturing and you’ll develop problem-solving and a host of core professional skills.

You’ll rotate through different aspects of Manufacturing, taking on different roles—with expert support always on hand—so you can learn the specific skills you need to perform each one. You’ll be part of the team, making a real contribution and playing an essential role. We’ll be counting on you to perform, so you’ll get to feel what it’s like to really deliver with the work you do.

The emphasis here is always on learning by doing, but there’s also a chance to experience a bit of student life with our learning partners in Lincoln and Somerset. Here you’ll meet other Nestlé and CPUK Manufacturing Apprentices from all over the country—you’ll build friendships and professional relationships that will be useful in your career development.

With the mentorship you’ll receive on your Apprenticeship, you’ll start to develop a whole new perspective on manufacturing and your own abilities. You’ll feel inspired about the choice you’ve made and you’ll have a clear idea of what you’re doing, where you’re going and how you’ll get there.

Additional Information

Who is eligible for the Manufacturing Apprenticeship?

We’re looking for people who are ready for a serious career and who will work hard to achieve their goals. You’ll also need 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, graded at 9-4 (A*-C if gained before 2017), but what’s equally important is your attitude. That’s what colleagues will be looking out for when you join their team. Show them that you’re here to give it your all and you’ll vastly improve your chances of progression.

Learning all the procedures and processes that make up our manufacturing process will come down to your ability to communicate. You’re a curious questioner, a great listener and you’re not afraid to speak up. Those are skills that will enable you to really understand what goes into making our products so that you’re well-informed and able to start thinking about how you can impact on that process.

What will I get out of a Nestlé Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a great way to get into a role with an exciting future. Right away, you’ll earn a competitive salary—but you’ll also build the skills you need to earn much bigger rewards as your career progresses. This isn’t getting a job—it’s setting yourself up for a fulfilling future at a secure company, with multiple development opportunities.

You’ll also get exposure to some of the world’s most famous brands. Household names like KitKat, Felix, Aero, Buxton, Cheerios and Nescafé—the work you’ll do here is the reason they are on the shelves for our customers to purchase. As your experience grows with the products you work with and the projects you’ll be involved with, you’ll build up some serious standing in Manufacturing.

What’s more, you’ll contribute to our ‘Force for Good’ initiative, which is all about aligning our commercial objectives with important social responsibilities like protecting the environment and healthier eating. We’re always looking for more efficient, sustainable ways to manufacture our products—helping with that is something you can feel good about.

That’s why this opportunity is about much more than just improving your skills. As a global company, we’ve got the power to really change things for the better in the wider world. Come and play your part and start a career that really matters.
