What the Nutrition Placement entails 

People on Placement here are really important to us—you could be the future of our company. So you’ll be given a warm welcome and treated like a full team member from day one—but then it’s straight down to business! 

Working on similar tasks to other team members, your work will have a tangible impact.  Of course, you’ll have our full support and great mentoring from a team of leading industry experts. Still, don’t think for a second that this is “just a Placement”—your work will matter! 

It’s all about helping you realise your potential and find out how you want to develop within the field of Nutrition. So you’ll experience all the different functions within the division—and, because Nutrition is central to everything we do here, you’ll be collaborating with categories and teams across the company, including Food and Dairy, Beverages, Confectionery and Nestlé Professional.  

Conducting market research projects and recipe analysis, you’ll get to play a key role in the development of new Nestlé products. Imagine seeing a new chocolate bar on the shelves and knowing that it was the work you did that helped put it there—from the contents to the packaging and communications. That’s the level of involvement you’ll have. You’ll also be involved in other areas of health such as our Employee Wellness Programme. 


Who is eligible for the Nutrition Placement? 

To qualify, you’ll need to be a second-year undergraduate studying an Association for Nutrition Accredited Degree Programme. You’ll also—more importantly—need to show potential for developing the kind of agile, creative and collaborative approach that forms the culture here at Nestlé. It’s those people who go on to achieve great things with us. You’ll also be the kind of person who takes pride in and pays attention to the smallest details and show a genuine passion for nutrition, health and wellness. 

We’re looking for people who take Nutrition just as seriously as we do—people who realise the difference they can make. At a company with our scope and reach, even small improvements in nutritional content can make a global difference. That places a big responsibility on your shoulders, but that’s what will attract you to this kind of career in the first place.
