Job Description

Sales Graduate Scheme 2021-2022

The Sales Graduate Scheme here at Nestlé is your chance to start a career creating sales opportunities for the biggest food and beverage manufacturer in the world. Applications are open now—and for someone with your sales instincts, there’s no mistaking that what’s on offer here is something really special.

People love our products’ individuality. They’re distinctive—just like the people that make them and the sales teams who get them out into the market. That’s why, whatever background you’re from, we’ll always encourage you to be yourself and help you find a career path that will help your individual talents thrive.

Our Sales Graduate Scheme runs in multiple Nestlé locations around the country or you might want to work at Cereal Partners UK (CPUK), our breakfast cereal partnership, in Welwyn Garden City. Whichever path you choose, the experience and mentoring you’ll receive from senior leaders will set you up for a truly fulfilling Nestlé career.

What the Sales Scheme entails

Nestlé graduate schemes are designed as the ideal way to transition from studying into a career that really builds on your achievements so far. You’ll be employing the skills you’ve been developing at university, but here you’ll be putting them into practice doing real work. And all of it under expert guidance as part of a structured real-world learning experience.

Your time on the Sales Graduate Scheme will be spent working with iconic brands like KitKat, Quality Street, Nescafé, and Purina, or iconic brands such as Cheerios, Shreddies, Shredded Wheat, and Nesquik at Cereal Partners UK. For sales-minded people, it’s a dream come true. You’ll learn everything that goes into selling them, from relationship building to account management, sales channels to sustainability projects. In short, all the new and varied ways we meet changing customer needs, who may be anything from a wholesaler to a multinational retailer.

Whichever route you take through the scheme, you can help shape the category strategy for our key brands and can be sure that you’ll receive top class support and mentorship—that’s a perk of training with one of the world’s biggest and best companies. This is your chance to wring every last drop of knowledge and information from the very best in the business, and then take your place among them.

Who is eligible for the Sales Graduate Scheme?

At Nestlé, we’re interested in people who know where they’re going. People with ambitions to really make an impact in a field they’re passionate about. You’ll need a degree behind you, of course, but it can be in any subject and at any grade. What’s most important is your desire to learn new skills, put them into practice, and continuously refine them. That’s what identifies you as a Nestlé person.

We’re working towards a great future here, and we want to make big positive changes to the way business is done. To do that, we need the fresh ideas of people like you. If you want to be encouraged and supported to come up with and realise those ideas, you’re eligible.

What will I get out of a Nestlé Sales Graduate Scheme?

The Nestlé Sales Graduate Scheme is a smarter way to a role you can take real satisfaction in. One where the development begins on day one and lasts your entire career. It’s about cultivating a continuous drive towards improvement. With our ‘Force for Good’ initiative, you’ll make a difference in the wider world as well.

It’s about Creating Shared Value (CSV)—and it’s setting the tone for Nestlé as we move forward. As the biggest food and beverage manufacturer in the world, even the smallest changes we make can have a seismic impact around the world. With ‘Force for Good’, we’re making sure that impact is positive and, in Sales, you’ll be right on the front line, telling current and future clients and customers just how important that is.

With Nestlé, you’ll never be short of ways to show our customers just how seriously we take our role in the world. Take our Torque d’Or competition, for instance. A hospitality event that’s all about nurturing up and coming chef talent, it’s just one of the ways we’re ‘giving something back’ to the industries that are vital to our business. There’s also the move towards recycled paper packaging and the care we’re taking with responsible marketing. It’s why Nestlé stands out and—as a sales person— it’s a USP you’ll take real pride in.

Or at Cereal Partners UK, you’ll never be short of ways to show our customers just how seriously we take our role in the world. Our support of the charities ‘FareShare’ and ‘Magic Breakfast’, is just one of the ways we’re ‘giving something back’ to the communities and consumers that are vital to our business. There’s also the move towards recycled paper packaging and the care we’re taking with responsible marketing. It’s why CPW stands out and—as a sales person— it’s a USP you’ll take real pride in.
